Paracelsus Medical University, Austria

Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) provides all necessary infrastructure (lab- and workspace) within the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology. Further, use of Core Facilities within PMU (animal facility, ultrastructure lab, microscopy, flow cytometry) is granted. At the European level, this is the first application for an Initial PhD Training Network given that the English PhD Medical Science was first accredited in October 2020. Currently, there are 68 Students on this programme. Prior to this course, the Paracelsus Medical University provided since 2014 the 3 year, 180 ECTS Doctoral programme “Medizinische Wissenschaft” taught through the medium of German. Beside several price winning alumni, previous programme members contributed to the competitively funded Doctoral Networks “Imaging the Mind” and “Immunity in Cancer & Allergy” jointly with the University of Salzburg.
